Why will we have to wait so long to get our digital wedding photographs?
Your digital wedding photographs may take time to deliver in part due to the sheer number of images taken at the event. Your wedding photographer shoots hundreds—if not thousands—of images per wedding. Even digital images require individual attention. The color must be corrected so a white dress looks white, a black tux looks black; the brightness and contrast might need adjustment, and then each photograph has to be resized and duplicated. If your photographer provides online proofing, he or she also needs to prepare and upload the images for viewing. If your photographer provides printed proofs, after color and contrast corection, the photos have to be sized properly or cropped, digitally transferred to a lab for printing, and then shipped to your wedding photographer for quality review.
